Washburn 2 Southwest 6

In a hard fought game southwest broke a scoreless tie 30 minutes into the game. The goal caused a slight let down and seemed to break our spirit. Southwest finished the half scoring two goals late and led 3-0 at the break. To start the second half Paul Larson replaced an injured Ashton Kruse in net. Southwest continued relentless pressure to take a 5-0 lead early in the second half. Washburn rallied for 2 straight goals as Abdi Malin took a Larson punt, beat the sweeper and laced a shot off the cross bar Jose Silva finished it by burying the rebound. Minutes later Yafet Tesfai drilled a PK to make the score 5-2. The game finished 6-2...
