Hello! I have taught in the Minneapolis Public Schools since 1986 and have been a proud member of the Washburn staff since 2008.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature from S.U,N.Y. at Plattsburgh www.plattsburgh.edu/ and my Masters of Science in Library Science from Florida State University www.fsu.edu/. I have taught in Daytona Beach, Florida  www.volusia.k12.fl.us/ and Kingwood, Texas www.humble.k12.tx.us/. I am licensed by the State of Minnesota for K-12 Library Media Specialist and grades 6-12 English.

In 2006, I was honored by the Minnesota Educational Media Organization (M.E.M.O.) when they named me the Library Media Specialist of the Year for the State of Minnesota.

I believe that the Media Center is the hub of a school and enjoy watching students as they grow in learning. Information Literacy is a critically important part of 21st Century Learning.
