Honors English 9 students develop their thinking and communication through a variety of reading and writing assignments. They begin the year with The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and autobiographical essays. As the year continues, they read Piano Lesson, Of Mice and Men, Romeo and Juliet, and Perseoplis. Besides autobiographies, students will write several other essays (descriptive, narrative, compare/contrast, and persuasive) as well as complete a variety of projects.
