Miller Voices-Varsity Choir
NYC Spring Tour 2015
"Theatre Of The Oppressed Workshop"

Course Description/Overview: Miller Voices is a select mixed choir and placement is by audition only. The precepts of advanced musicianship will be stressed in this course. Members of Miller Voices have daily rehearsals involving vocal pedagogy while studying a wide variety of musical styles from various historical periods, diverse cultures, and languages. Concerts are presented quarterly throughout the year. During quarter 3, Miller Voices participates in the MN Region VIAA Large Group Vocal Contest. A yearlong residency with Cantus will culminate in a concert during 4th quarter. Spring NYC Trip is an optional opportunity for 11th & 12th grade singers.

Required Materials: Black shoes, pencil, $20 Uniform Cleaning Fee and T-shirt

Grading: The primary purpose of grading is to communicate the academic achievement status of students to students, their families, employers, and post-secondary institutions.  A grade should accurately reflect what students know and are able to do in a course.
