Welcome to the Washburn Resource Adaptive Program (WRAP) 

My name is Patrick Burns and I am a special education teacher, working with students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). In Room 016, we have a great team to work with our students that includes and John Phelps, John Paul, and Megan Nordstrom. Together we strive to meet and surpass our students' goals as outlined on their IEPs.

I have taught at Washburn since 2009, and I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1998. I have two children in Minneapolis Public Schools, and I love being here in Minneapolis, and especially here at Washburn High School. Go Millers!!

I received my B.A. in English Literature and Business Administration in 1990 from the University of Notre Dame. I received an M.Ed. in Special Education from Vanderbilt University in 1995.
