Lifelong Learning Opportunities through Community Education

Washburn Community Education is located in the beautiful Tangletown Neighborhood in south Minneapolis, near the Chain of Lakes. Classes are offered in a  variety of subject areas; arts & crafts, computers, cooking, fitness & health, dance, world languages and more.

In person: Our daytime office is in room 013A in the lower level of the school. Visitors should enter through the main school entrance during the school day (8:30am-3:00pm). All other doors are locked at those times.

Driver Education

Do you want to learn how to drive? Washburn offers classroom training for students age 14 and up. 

Take your classroom training through Community Education at Washburn. registration opens on March 5th. We encourage students to register online at www.mplscommunityed.com. Spaces are limited and will fill up fast! If you have any questions or would like to get a flyer, please stop by the Community Ed office in room 013A or call 612-668-3450. Summer Classes will be at Justice Page Middle School. Pick up a registration form in the Community Education office, Room 013A.
