Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website. I started at Washburn High School in the Fall of 2011. I have been teaching since 1997 and have been with Minneapolis Public Schools since 2002. I graduated with a Masters in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University in 1999 and have a license in the area of Specific Learning Disabilities.

I believe in assisting students in becoming more active learners by teaching them learning strategies.   Learning strategies are used by students to help them understand information and solve problems. My overriding goal is to help students meet the demands of life, not just in school but after they leave school as well.
