Geometry Learning Targets

Below are the learning targets for geometry for the first semester. Students will recieve a 0-8 on each learning target. They may retake any learning target if they score a 6 or below.

Learning Targets for Unit 1:

1.1:    I can solve problems and justify my results using parallel and perpendicular line properties.

1.2:    I can solve problems and justify my results using angle properties.

1.3:    I can use coordinate geometry to represent and analyze points and lines.

Learning Targets for Unit 2:

2.1:    I can solve problems and justify my results using properties of triangles.

2.2:    I can solve problems and justify my results using properties of equilateral and isosceles

2.3:    I can solve problems and justify my results using properties of congruent triangles

2.4:    I can apply the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse to solve problems and logically justify my results.

2.5:    I can apply the properties of special right triangles to solve problems and logically justify my results

2.6:    I can use coordinate geometry to translate, reflect and rotate triangles and analyze the results.

Learning Targets for Unit 3:

3.1:    I can solve problems and justify my results using properties of similar triangles.

3.2:    I can solve problems and justify my results using the trigonometric ratios sine, cosine, and tangent in right triangles

3.3     I can select and apply the correct triangle relationship (congruency, Pythagorean Theorem, similarity, trigonometric ratios) to find missing sides and angles of triangles.
