Millers Claim Second Place in State!

To celebrate and congratulate our Girls Soccer Team, Washburn is hosting a reception in the Main Gym at 4:30 PM. Root beer floats will be served along with good cheer for our Lady Millers and their coaches. All in the community are invited! More Info

The #1 ranked and undefeated Washburn (20-0) girls soccer team won 3-0 over Hill-Murray in the semifinal game of the State Class A State TournamentStarTribf-go Photos. Washburn plays Orono at 12 noon on Thursday for the State Championship in St. Cloud. 200 fan bus tickets will be sold for $3 a person before school on Thursday. The tickets are $7 for entry into the game.

Due to the time constraints, we will not be collecting field trip slips. This will be an excused absence.

Coached by Cheryl Peterson and Ruben Ndely, the team is undefeated with a record of 20-0 and has outscored opponents 99-2 this season.

Congratulations to seven Millers earning All-State honors: Girls - Morgan Cottew, Taylor Cottew, Brooke Innes, and Maya Rajacich; Boys - Aidan Clemence, Ziyad Fares, and Juan Louis.

Aidan Clemence and Morgan Cottew were also recognized as finalist for Minnesota's Mr. Soccer and Ms. Soccer.

Minneapolis Washburn stuck early (20 seconds into the game) and often (5 goals in the first half) to win the quarterfinals 6-0 at St. Cloud State University Stadium.
