Prospective Student Tours (for 2019-2020 School Year)

Prospective students are encouraged to tour Washburn during the school day. These tours are a small group setting to help you better understand our offerings and to help students feel more comfortable with their upcoming transition to high school. These tours are designed for students to attend with their families. We have Student and Parent Ambassadors as leaders who share their personal experiences. They can help answer a variety of questions families may have. Please choose a tour date time slot that works best for your family. Currently we have our December dates open for registration. January/February dates will be added soon.

PSAT
PSAT Scores Available Soon

Student scores from the PSAT will be available online to students December 10–12. Students who provided their email address on their PSAT answer sheet will receive an email reminder from CollegeBoard/PSAT where and how to view their scores. Students can set up a free College Board account at any time. If a student logs in after December 10-12 and does not see their scores, they may need to enter an access code. Students can get their access codes from Tara Mennitt.

Amazing study abroad opportunity - Summer 2019
A huge thank-you to Washburn High School families who have hosted an AFS student over the last several years! Because of your willingness to open your doors to many AFS students, AFS has chosen Washburn as one of only 20 high schools in the nation who will receive a full scholarship* to be awarded to one student for AFS’ 2-3 week Global Prep Program next summer. There are several destinations to choose from as outlined in the application. Those destinations can be previewed at https://www.afsusa.org/study-abroad/programs/global-prep. Applications can be picked up in the counseling office and must be returned by January 17th. The only qualification to be considered for the scholarship is that you must be a current 9th-11th Washburn student. More Info
