Welcome to my webpage!
This will be my 12th year as a classroom teacher and my 2nd year at Washburn. I am so excited to be back! This year I will be co-teaching sections of U.S. History (10th grade) and World History (11th grade) with Brian Perkins, and teaching Social Studies Concepts to ESL students.

Fun facts about me: I'm from Michigan (Monroe), I went to the University of Notre Dame where I played softball, I'm the youngest of 6, I have lived in 3 other countries (Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico), I have taught every single grade school level in the past 12 years (K-12), and I just started coaching softball for the Washburn Millers last year. We hope to take the conference this year!!
As a teacher, expect that I will work to bring new perspectives to our learning, challenge you to grow both academically and socially, try to make you laugh, and have high expectations for your work ethic. I believe that all students can reach high levels of learning, but to get there it will require effort and perseverance from the whole team. Our team consists of the teachers and school staff, students, and parents. I will do my best to reach out and connect with all families so that great teamwork is possible. Please feel free to reach out to me as well. Let's have a great year!
