Michael J. Mack, English Language Development (ELD) Teacher

I am excited for my second year as an ELL teacher at Washburn in 2016-17. Prior to joining the Washburn team, I taught mostly at elementary and middle schools in St. Paul. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a BA in print journalism and later attended Hamline University to obtain my teaching license.

For 2016-17, I will be co-teaching Human Geography (Grade 9) with Mr. Morzenti and U.S. History (Grade 10) with Ms. Dierkes.

I encourage all students to be active and inquisitive learners. A favorite quote of mine is from martial arts legend Bruce Lee: "A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer."

Aside from teaching, my passions include distance running, music, and spending quality time with friends and family.

I can be reached via email at Michael.Mack@mpls.k12.mn.us.
