F. Scott Fitzgerald

Literature is where I go to explore the highest and lowest places in human society

and in the human spirit,

where I hope to find not absolute truth but the truth of the tale,

of the imagination and of the heart."

- Salman Rushdie

;                                                                 Hello and welcome to my teacher page!  My name is Maureen Mulvaney.  The pictures here are three of my favorite authors: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Barbara Kingsolver and William Shakespeare.  It's pretty easy to figure out which one is which.  I love books of all kinds, and feel that teaching Literacy is the perfect job!  This is my fourth year at Washburn High School and I feel very lucky to be here. Previously, I have taught at high schools in St. Louis Park and north Minneapolis.  Becasue I am teaching zero hour this year, my schedule will vary from that of
Barbara Kingsolver
the regular school day. However, I am happy to communicate with parents and students in person, on the phone or via email, and always glad to set up times for tutoring.  Students, if you are out sick for an extended period, please contact me so we can keep you on track.
