About the Show

Craig Johnson, Ivey Award winning director/actor and director of the James J. Hill House has woven classic ghost stories into a frightful play that will be perfect entertainment to celebrate the season! Much of this play has been worked as a reader's theater performance at the James J. Hill House. However, Mr. Johnson has work it into a full-length play, which includes music and dance interludes, and a guest appearance by a vampire. Washburn is also thrilled to have Craig Johnson direct this original production. You won't want to miss this event!

About the Show

Written by two former Minneapolis Public School teachers; book and lyrics by Daniel R. Krueger and music by Elwood "Woody" Jay Johnson. Originally the show was produced at Roosevelt High School in the 1980's. The story stays true to the original version of Dracula, which is set in the Victorian Era Transylvania and London, England. The songs are enchanting, hilarious, and hauntingly beautiful. In addition, the story will scare you right out of your seat. Tell everyone you know to see this Minneapolis original musical!
