Rep Visits to the Washburn CCC

Each year, we have several college, career and military representatives visit the Washburn Career and College Center to meet with our students. We highly recommend that students, specifically juniors and seniors, take advantage of these visits.

Meeting with reps allows students to:

  • to get answers to questions directly from a college, career or military representative
  • to demonstrate interest
  • to meet the individuals who are your direct advocates
  • to explore colleges, careers and military whose location makes visiting a challenge

Who is Visiting

All visits are listed in your Naviance account. Select the colleges tab to view all upcoming visits. This is where you will find the most up-to-date information.

The CCC Newsletter also lists weekly visits and is emailed out to all students, families and staff.

Rep Visits in the Washburn CCC

All visits take place in the Career and College Center, room #107. Students should report to the CCC for their scheduled visit.

Students sign up for visits ahead of time on Naviance. We want to respect classroom time as much as possible and signing up prior to the visit gives CCC coordinators, students and teachers time to make proper arrangements.

If interested students are not able to attend the entire visit, stopping by for materials or to meet the rep is encouraged.

Parents: please note that rep visits in the CCC are for students only. Please connect with the representative about meeting him or her outside of the school day, or check the CCC Newsletter for local events.

Signing Up for Rep Visits
  1. Log into your Naviance account
  2. Click Colleges, upcoming visits
  3. Click on college that you'd like to visit
  4. Select sign up (you will receive an email reminder 24 hours in advance of visit)

After you signed up on Naviance, you will receive a yellow rep visit pass from the CCC the day of your visit to your 1st period class. If you do not have a 1st period class, you are responsible for picking up your pass ahead of time.

Show your teacher the pass before the visit starts. Your teacher must approve and sign your pass. PLEASE NOTE--it is up to the discretion of the teacher as to whether you are able to leave class to attend.
