Tips for Applying for Scholarships

1.Start by applying for small local scholarships-The odds are better, and a getting a small one is a good motivator for applying for more.  Washburn Scholarship Application is avaiable late winter/early spring. Watch for this great opportunity!

2. Don’t assume you’re ineligible

3. Volunteer-It is not only good for the community but many scholarships are given on the basis of community service.

4. Apply for scholarships that minimize post-graduation debt-High debt causes some grads to seek high-paying, high-pressure, positions that come with a low quality lifestyle. Having little or no debt increases options.
