  • Freshmen Concert Choir -- All 9th grade males and females
  • Varsity Women's Choir -- All 10th grade females and 11th and 12th grade women with little or no choral experience.
  • Miller Voices -- All 10th, 11th and 12th grade males, 11th and 12th grade femailes with at least one year of prior experience.

All Vocal Music Students Will Learn:

  • Healthy vocal techniques and performance practices
  • Solfege method of music reading
  • Sing harmonies and melodies, alone and in a group
  • Exposure ot various styles of music
  • Connect music literature to culture, history and human experiences

All Vocal Music Students Responsibility:

  • Black pants and shoes for concert uniform
  • Inform Ms. Lee of conflicts with concert dates as soon as possible. Credit can be made up if a student informs Ms. Lee prior to performance.

Grading Criteria:

  • 50% daily rehersal activities
  • 30% performances or project
  • 20% worksheets and tests


  • SpotLight Musical -- auditions are held mid-year and students reheearse for up to nine weeks prior to production. Rehearsals coincide with the winter sports season, which makes participation in both virtually impossible.
  • Small Vocal Ensembles -- Student organized and run groups.
