Winter Musical: Hairspray

In 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, we meet quirky teenage Tracy Turnblad who has one dream: to dance on The Corny Collins Show. Tracy transforms from a nobody into a star, and uses her newfound influence to advocate for racial integration on the television show. Tony Award-winning Hairspray continues to be widely produced, because of its wit, charm and heart. The bright, energetic story of Tracy Turnblad carries a strong message of acceptance, progress and value in fighting for equal rights for all.

Dates: March 1, 2, 3 at 7 pm and March 4 at 2 pm Washburn Auditorium
