In World Studies we will explore the history of the world by looking at important political, economic, and social/cultural trends.  We will study the decisions and experiences of peoples throughout the world to gain understanding of the various ways societies relate to each other and their surroundings.  The course will be roughly divided into three time periods: Ancient History, Modern (since the 1500s in this class) History, and contemporary history since World War I.  We will also briefly touch on the earliest humans and current events.
