4.1 Cold War Blame & Responsibility

Imagine that someone slaps you across the face right before you enter my history class on Monday.  You retaliate by punching that person.  The same thing happens on Tuesday.  Invoking the "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me" concept, you stop the person from slapping you by having one of your friends hold her/him before you arrive in the area on Wednesday.  On Thursday,The Slapper has friends show up in support.  The stand-off repeats itself on Friday.  Who is more responsible for whatever happens on Monday?
