Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement, or AP, courses are college-level courses that a student can take in high school. An exam is offered at the end of the school year which, depending on a student's score, may earn the student credit towards college courses.

Washburn currently offers the following AP courses:

  • AP Human Geography, offered in 9th grade
  • AP US History, offered in 10th grade
  • AP Literature and Composition, offered in 10th grade
  • AP Statistics, (10-12th grade)
  • AP Chemistry (10-12th grade)
  • AP Calculus (10-12th grade)
  • AP Physics (11-12th grade)
