"Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are." -Unknown

Hello! I have been a Science teacher at Washburn since 2015 and am proud to be a part of the Miller community. This year, I look forward to working with our 9th grade Physical Scientists, as well as 10th grade Biology. It is a nice variety and great to be involved with freshmen and sophomores.

After completing a bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Minnesota State, Mankato, my teaching adventures began. After spending several years teaching ESL in Seoul, South Korea, I then moved to Australia and completed a master's in teaching at the University of Melbourne. After teaching some local Aussies, I returned to Minnesota and worked my way into MPS; first with the online program, then as a district ALC content lead, then as a Science teacher in Washburn's "school-within-a-school" (SWISH) program. Although the 2019-202- school year will be "mainstream" teaching job for MPS, my background, teaching style, and general attitude in life is anything but!
