School Social Worker (grades 10 & 11)

I am the school social worker for 10th and 11th graders. I am so happy to be part of the Washburn community! My office is on the 3rd floor in 312E. Please stop by, call, or email me-- I love to connect with students and families.

I completed my Master's in Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Minnesota and attended Macalester College for my bachelor's. I am a licensed graduate social worker (LGSW) with the MN Board of Social Work, and I also hold a license in School Social Work with the MN Department of Education. I am currenltly working towards my clinical licensure in social work (LICSW).

I am here to support students and families and will help however I can. I encourage students who are dealing with homelessness, LGBTQ+* issues, violence, chemical use, mental health, family, and/or other issues to connect with me. I can also reach out to a student that family or friends are concerned about. I will work both individually and collaboratively to support students, families, and the learning community. One of the great things about the social work team at Washburn is that we will be looping with our students throughout their time here to maintain relationships and respect each students' needs as well as confidentiality.

(*lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, and more)

I look forward to a wonderful school year full of learning, growth, and supportive relationships!
