So once you do know what the question actually is, you'll know what the answer means.

(Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

4th Quarter offically starts Monday, April 20.

For 4th quarter, I have set up a Google class for each hour. Here is a link to Google Classroom -- sign in with your school account email: GOOGLE CLASSROOM

You will go straight to your classes. If you are not registered yet for English 11, email me and I will get you set up.

In my classroom online, under the "What's Happening?" tab, there is a link to a Google Meet class. You need to show up "in class" during the hour of the class. There is a second hour each day that I will also online using that same link. This second hour is not required, but you can ask me questions face-to-face. Check the schedule below for all these times for your class.

I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1990 when I moved here from San Diego. I have have degrees in Biology and Literature/Creative Writing from the University of California at San Diego, and teaching licenses in Life Sciences and Language Arts. I also have a Masters in Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota. I graduated from high school from Taipei American School and have been traveling my whole life. I still travel and a year ago I spent the summer in Argentina poking away at my Spanish. I am a news junkie and I love thinking about mass media and culture. Often, I see myself more as a writing teacher than an English teacher. I like sailing, camping in the BWCA, fixing things, gaming, and food.

I am also the adviser/coach for the Washburn Quiz Bowl team. The season officially starts in October and ends in February. I think the club is meeting on Thursdays this year. Swing by 119 and ask for more information. If you signed up on a list at Open House, we will be contacting you!
