Psychology is the study of human behavior and mental processes.  Behaviors are things you can see a person do, like smile or frown.  Mental processes are not directly observable and include such things like memories, feelings, conscious and unconscious thoughts, and dreams.  This course will serve as an introduction to psychology and will contain the following unit topics, each of which will be followed by a summative assessment.:

  • Nature and Goals of Psychology
  • Research Methods of Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Personality Theory and Evaluation
  • Psychological Disorders
  • Methods of Therapy 

Office Hours:  I am available after school on Fridays for make-up work opportunities.
