Weekly Schedule for Distance Learning Classes and Office Hours:

Monday: Period 1- English 10 (Collab. with Ms. Pederson-Linn) - 11:00AM - 12:00PM

Tuesday: Period 2 - English 10 (Collab. with Ms. Pederson-Linn) - 10:00AM - 11:00AM

Tuesday: Period 3 - ESL 1AB/2AB/3AB - 11:15AM - 12:15PM

Wednesday: Office Hours (1:00PM - 4:00PM) for student tutoring and questions

Thursday: Period 4 - Multicultural Literature 12 (Collab. with Mr. Rice)  -10:00AM - 11:00AM

Thursday: Period 5 - ESL 2AB/3AB - 12:00PM - 1:00PM

***Mr. Rist Perido 5 class and Ms. Boen's Period class meet concurrently (at the same time). If you are in Mr. Rist's group, you will sign in to Mr. Rist's class.  If you are in Ms. Boen's group, you will sign in to Ms. Boen's class.

Friday: Office Hours (8:00AM - 4:00PM) for student tutoring and questions

My Role in English 10 - Periods 1 & 2:

I am the academic language teacher in Ms. Pederson-Linn's English 10 classes during periods 1 and 2.  Please refer to Ms. Pederson-Linn's teacher page for any and all due dates, assignments, and syllbus for these two classes. You may refer to her Google Classroom page for this information as well. 

My Role in Multicultural Literature 12 - Period 4:

I am the academic language teacher in Mr. Rice's Multicultural Literature 12 class (period 4 only).  Please refer to Mr. Rice's teacher page for any and all due dates, assignments, and syllbus for these two classes. You may refer to his Google Classroom page for this information as well. 

My Role in ESL 2AB & 3AB periods 3 & 5: I teach levels 2 and 3 for these ESL classes.  I co-teach with Ms. Katie during period 3 and we often combine all language levels and engage in project-based learning.  For period 5, I co-teach with Ms. Boen.  We teach also teach whole-class lessons, but we mostly split our learning groups in two: one level 1AB group, and a separate level 2AB/3AB group.

Short Bio: I have been an ESL at Washburn for six years.  I have served as a collaborative teacher in Human Geography, U.S. History, and both tenth and twelfth grade English Language Arts classrooms.  I also provide tutoring services in the following subjects:  English Language Arts, all Social Studies courses, and Spanish.

Class Expectations and Helpful Tips: Check the weekly schedule to know when I will be teaching interactive classes.  Also, look at the Google Classroom page for each class to know which assignments are due and when.  If you have any questions or need tutoring, please contact me via the the email address listed above so that we may set up a time for a video call.
